Directions
Oven OR Grill:
- Completely thaw smoked ham
- Place 1/4' of water in a pan with the ham
- Cook at 400 degrees for 1 hour (this seals in the juices)
- Reduce heat to 200 degrees and cook until the internal ham temperature is 145-160 degrees
- Reduce heat to 170 degrees to hold until ready to serve
*If using a grill use INDIRECT HEAT
NOTE: Ham can be served from 145-170 degrees, 170 will be fall apart
Optional PINEAPPLE BROWN SUGAR GLAZE:
- One can of crushed pineapple and enough brown sugar to soak up all the juice
- Coat ham with this mixture for the last 30 minutes of cooking
- Raise temperature slightly (275-300) to caramelize the sugars. Be careful not to burn sugar.
