We, Kyle and Emily Becker, established Becker Farms in 2007 in northeast Henry County, as an avenue to provide customers with high-quality, safe freezer beef. Over time, we have expanded our farm to include: chickens, turkeys, pigs, and hens. While our creamery is still an on-going project, we do currently offer herd shares and 'pet' milk.

Kyle was raised on a dairy-beef-and-grain farm in Wayne County. He has a B.S. in animal science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Purdue University. He works as a food animal veterinarian for Becker Food Animal Health Services. Emily grew up in Kokomo, without an agricultural background, but has learned a lot about this important, ever-changing field since enrolling in the College of Agriculture at Purdue University where she earned a B.S. in food science. Emily continued her education with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Indiana University. Emily is blessed to be at home raising our two daughters, Charlotte and Stella and our two sons, Griffin and Wyatt, and helping on the farm and with Kyle’s veterinary practice.

It is our goal to not only produce healthful, nutrient-dense foods for you and your family to enjoy but to also do so in an environmentally-responsible manner. When we purchased our farm in 2007, it had been planted in row-crops for several decades and the health of the soil was dreadful. Thanks to Kyle’s hard-work and determination to “leave [the soil health of] our farm to our children (and children’s children) in a much-better state than when we found it…”. It is our belief that healthy soil produces healthy pasture which produces healthy livestock (which is in line with Michael Pollan’s ‘You are what you eat eats’ thinking). On that note, it was Pollan’s 2006 book, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, that inspired some of our approaches to farming.

During the summer, we attend the Carmel Farmers Market and the Fishers Farmers Market. Our winter farmers market locations include Carmel and Indy Additionally, we are on Market Wagon year-round. We would eventually like to have a store-front at our farm…one of the many projects on our “wish list”. Please see our "Farmers Market Locations" tab and select either the summer or winter season for the dates, location, and time of our farmers market whereabouts.

We truly love connecting with our customers and welcome your questions and feedback. We encourage you to check out our FAQs page to learn more about our farm and growing practices.
